Croft Restoration

This charming Coach House on Croft Street dates back to 1881 and still includes numerous original features such as barn windows and exposed brick. The deteriorating home was updated while carefully retaining its natural energy and charm. We lovingly restored the existing 5″ knotty pine flooring and 7 3/4″ pine baseboards, coving, and casings throughout the home. The outdated kitchen was gutted and outfitted with custom millwork, stainless steel appliances, and polished cement counters with a waterfall that spills into the dining room. For the backsplash, matt aqua glass tiles was used for both appliance walls with a feature wall of staggered counter to ceiling mosaic slate alongside floating grey oak millwork.

The main floor 3-piece bathroom was given a makeover with skylight, glass shower, vanity and dual flush toilet. All the skylight wells and windowsills throughout are painted in a matching Oxford White high gloss finish to reflect light and visually warm the space. The main floor also boasts a custom built in mantle with electric fireplace and a guest bedroom, which also functions as the homeowner’s downtown office.

The en suite on the second floor has Icy Aqua glass shower wall tiles from floor to sloped ceiling with a two-way glass door under an operable skylight. The shower floors are mosaic slate with a centered tiled drain and heated floors throughout.

The master includes built in custom closets and finished oak French doors with fixed sidelight glass panels that open onto a 500 square foot deck with beautiful views of the city. The walkout deck also has a custom built overhang that is LED lit and great all year round.

The renovation included new flat and pitched roofs, cedar walkout deck, insulating exterior walls and re-drywalling, retrofitting LED lighting, new venting, new brushed nickel hardware and painting
